Holiday Activity Fund

After initial 2021 success, working in partnership with Active Futures and Wallsend Action For Youth, targeting over 200 young people within Primary Schools. In 2022 we set out on the challenge of attracting those considered more difficult to engage, the older teenagers.

Delivered within Richardson Dees Park, Wallsend and Burradon Skate Park,  Power Through Sport 'Park Nights' provided a safe space for young people across 20 nights of the holidays. Skate Park Jam with Live DJ and free prize give-aways, supervised sports activities alongside special guests including: Skateboarding with Pop More Skate School and Graffiti and Circus Skill with BigFoot Arts. Every young person also received a hot-food option from fresh woodfired Pizza, Pasta to Greek wraps!

As part of North Tyneside Council's Get Into - Participation Programme we look forward to opportunities in 2023 as we hope to continue and build upon the great work being done and impact that has been made.
