FAQ's

Membership & Bookings FAQ's:

Do you have to setup a parent account and add a child or can you add a child on your own account?

First registration is for parent, once initial details are entered there is an option to add any linked children to the account. In regards to Child Protection / Health and Safety it has to be the parent / guardian which adds child to the account and acknowledges awareness of risk for said child.

Do you have to book all the children and parents separately onto a session to ensure declaration has been read by all?

Every individual attending the session should have be booked on (at least once) separately, that being said it is only the parent / guardian who will have seen and accepted the disclaimer, they are doing so on behalf of their own children. Not just for the disclaimer but when pulling session register, every individual including children should have been booked onto at least one session at each venue that they attend so they then automatically pull through to our session report.

If a member attends both Temple Park and Benfield – ideally as long as they are put on at least one session at each venue, when we pull our list of attended participants they should appear on each session they have attended at least once we can then mass important multiple check-ins.

Is registering on SportFin enough to be fully registered with Power Through Sport?

Once registered on SportFin, members must also book onto at least one Power Through Sport session to be fully registered with us.

This ensures they appear on our session registers and are officially linked to our programmes.

If a member attends multiple venues, do they need to book at each one?

If a member attends sessions at more than one venue (e.g. Temple Park and Benfield), we advise that they should be booked onto at least one session at each venue. This ensures they appear correctly on attendance and session reports for each location, to make the check in process easier.

What age can a child be left without a parents if they are fully signed up on SportFin?

Following standard local authority policy in leisure environments. Any child aged 11 and under should supervised by a parent / guardian at all times. Any child aged 12-16 can attend but must be registered and have emergency contact information on file.

Does the 59p booking fee apply to every session / booking?

This fee is PER TRANSACTION. This is not a Power Through Sport or a SportFin charge, this admin fee is applied by STRIPE which is the online payment platform. Stripe's main UK admin/transaction fees are competitive, typically 1.5% + £0.20 for standard UK cards, rising to 1.9% + £0.20 for premium cards. Members can pay by cash or card on the door to avoid this charge.
